SFE Barn Rules

  • Barn hours are 8am-9pm, open 7 days of the week (closed some holidays)

  • All riders are required to wear an SEI/ ASTM approved helmet when mounted 

  • No smoking in or around the barns or arena

  • Dogs are allowed on a leash outdoors. Dogs are not allowed in the arenas.

  • All riders must sign a liability release before riding

  • 12 hours’ notice is required to cancel a lesson and receive a make-up lesson, refund or not be charged. Notice may be in the form of email, text message, instagram or facebook message, or voice message. If less than 12 hours is given, the lesson fee must be paid.

  • Lessons may be cancelled less than 12  hours in advance in the case of inclement weather (over 30 degrees Celsius, below -20 degrees Celsius, thunderstorm or snowstorm). In this case a make-up lesson may be given at a mutually agreed upon time.

  • All boarders, students, spectators and family must be respectful to others and of others lesson and riding time

  • All boarders and students are expected to clean up after themselves and their horses. There are brooms, pitch forks, skip buckets, shovels and trash cans provided. 

  • All boarders and students are expected to leave the arena the way they found it, and if they are the last person to leave the arena, turn the lights out

  • If something gets broken please bring it to the attention of the management immediately 

  • All Boarders and students must have permission to enter or remove tack or contents from lockers

  • Horses must be returned to the correct paddock or stall as per management

  • Students are required to ride the horse assigned to them 

  • Boarders may not lunge during lessons in the same arena 

  • If you are the last to leave or the only one at the barn please close the doors and turn off the lights before you leave 

  • If riding outside of the rings, please stay to the cut paths

  • If the barn has enacted the biosecurity protocol, biosecurity protocols and rules must be followed
